About Pugmarks

Pugmarks was founded 21 years ago in Pune by 3 passionate conservationists including an IITian and a naturalist working for WWF.

Our core mission is “To sensitise the youth to the joy of the outdoors and nature conservation while enhancing their personal development”. 

Each year thousands of youngsters camp with us in their vacations at amazing places like Manali, Andamans, Kanha, Dandeli and more. 

Pugmarks is led by a dynamic team which has over 20 years of experience in adventure travel and ecotourism. Pugmarks has won many awards over the years, most notably the National Award from ATOAI for excellence in "Community-based adventure"

  • Day 1
    Reach Airport at 10.00 am. To take a flight to Delhi.
    Reach Delhi Airport by 2.30 pm and transfer to the AC chartered bus for Manali.
  • Day 2
    Arrive at Prini base camp for breakfast. Briefing and orientation. Tent allotment and the issue of haversack,
    ponchos. Discussion on ‘Leave no trace (LNT)’ way of camping. In the evening, acclimatization walk up to
    Arjun Gufa, Sharvani Devi Temple, Bhanara hills and back to the campsite at Shuru (5hrs).
  • Day 3
    Base Camp Shuru – Bhanara Hills
    Explore through the forests of blue pine, cedar, oak, fir trees while you go for an acclimatization walk.
  • Day 4
    Shuru - Tilgan (2470m) 5 hours.
    Our trek begins today, like walk across Sharvani Devi Temple, Arjun Gufa, Thakshak Nag Temple and
    Bhanara, through Bogi. The campsite is at Tilgan. Bhanara (2150m) has an old temple dedicated to the local God,
    Thakshak Nag and also is located near a historic cave (Arjun Gufa) where the Pandava Arjun is believed to
    have taken refuge during their exile.
  • Day 5
    Tilgan - Sarra Bogi (3100m) 4 hours.
    Amidst pine forests and plenty of natural spring water en route, we reach Sarra Bogi which is located in a grassy
    knoll at the foot of Pha-Konda pinnacle peak. From the camp, experience the enchanting view of the Dhauladhar
    range and its lofty mountain peaks -Hanuman Tibba, Shikhar-bay, Maker-bay and Friendship peaks. One can
    look out for rare glimpses of brown bears above the Sarra Bogi campsite, towards Pha-Konda pinnacle peak
    (Trig Height).
  • Day 6
    Sarra Bogi - Teku Ri Tapri (Summit Camp) (3650m.) 5 hours.
    The challenging big boulders of snow-covered moraine await us today as we trek up to the summit camp. The
    trek route will be full of snow-covered up to knee-deep and some portion of the snowy slope will completely be
    compact and sometimes make easier to negotiate and reach. In the evening explore the camp and move to evening
    snow craft adventure activities. Stay overnight at Teku Ri Tapri.
  • Day 7
    Teku Ri Tapri – Trig Height (4150m) - Koku Ka Nulluh (2950m) 6 hours.
    The impressive grandeur of immediate surroundings, the nearness of the Pha-Konda cliffs, the wonderful
    coloring of rock and mountainside make it a very enchanting experience. Descending down and trek through a
    zig-zag gradient of the slope to reach Koku- Ka-Nulluh campsite. The campsite is in the bowl-shaped meadow
    amidst of silver fir forest and having a magnificent view of distant Mountain of Dhauladhar range.
  • Day 8
    Koku Ka Nullah- Base Camp via Chhalet Village 5 hours.
    An easy descend takes you to Sethan tea stall and village from where it’s a gradual walk through Hamta Maggi
    point and small hamlet up to Hamta village. The trail descends down through the forest of blue pine, Cedar, oak, fir
    and via Shuru Village till Base camp Shuru. Stay overnight at Base camp. Trek concludes.
  • Day 9
    After a wholesome breakfast and a farewell ceremony in the morning, we set off to roam around the Manali
    market and depart for Delhi in the evening by bus.
  • Day 10
    Arrive in New Delhi. Get transferred to Delhi airport to board the respective flight to Pune / Mumbai.

A very challenging scenic, summer high-altitude Trek. Starting from the Shuru roadhead, the trek winds through lush green valleys, moraines, high-altitude meadows and dazzling landscapes. Once atop the Pha – Konda pinnacle peak (Trig Height) (4150m), another spectacular panorama of peaks appears stark Beas Kund valley. The snowcapped mountain valley view from Pha- Konda trig height is a photographer’s delight. You also see some good mountain peaks and a number of dazzling mountain massif on this expedition.
