Prepare yourself for a Snowy Adventure as You ascend into the Snowfields, Trek through unexplored, yet most spectacular and impressive trek in the Kullu Valley, Experience lush green Valleys, Alpine Meadows and Dazzling Landscapes
The most natural and rewarding way to explore the majestic Himalayas in Himachal is through trekking The trek to ‘Naag Saur (Glaciated) Lake’ (4410m) — a group of frozen mountain tarns — is one of the few unexplored, lesser-known, yet most spectacular and impressive treks in the Kullu Valley. It offers some of the best panoramic views of the Himalayas. The trek starts from the Shuru road head and winds through lush green valleys, alpine meadows, and dazzling landscapes. Throughout the journey, trekkers are accompanied by majestic peaks such as Muker-bay, Shiker-bay, Ladakhi, Friendship, Indrasan, Inderkilla, and Hanuman Tibba. The trail passes through cool, evergreen forests of walnut, oak, and occasional alder trees with stunning views of the entire Kullu Valley. Upon reaching ‘Naag Saur (Glaciated) Lake’ at 4410m, an additional 15-minute ascent takes you to a vantage point at 4500m, where a 360-degree panorama of snow-covered peaks unfolds — this time offering views of the stark upper valley. THE LOCATION – Hamta Hills (2550m.) in Hamta Region and 1st Mountain Camp at Sethan (2675M.) and Trekking in Rourikhauri hills.
MAXIMUM ALTITUDE – By Height Gaining in Snowfield (4410m)
DIFFICULTY LEVEL – Moderate A reasonable degree of physical fitness is needed for this trek
Day 1:- Pune/Mumbai to Delhi and Overnight Journey to Manali
Reach Airport and take a flight to Delhi. Proceed to Manali by Ac Volvo Bus Overnight Bus journey to Manali.
Day 2:- Base Camp at Shuru (2050m.), Orientation
Arrive at base camp Shuru for breakfast. Briefing and orientation. Tent allotment and distribution of haversack, ponchos. Group Formation, Ice Breakers. Camp Briefing and Orientation
Day 3:- Acclimatization walk up to Arjun Gufa / Sharvari Devi Temple
Breakfast and Warm up exercises. Acclimatization walk up to Arjun Gufa / Sharvari Devi Temple and back. Team Games. Stay overnight at Base Camp
Day 4:- Shuru (Base Camp) – Sethan Village (2675m) 5 hours
Today’s trail ascends through a forest of blue pine, cedar, oak, and fir, leading to Gourudugh (2170m), (one-hour trek) Beyond Gourudugh, continue the trek via Chhalet village, winding through Hamta village. Reach the Sethan campsite, set amidst silver fir trees and the expansive potato farm. Team Games, Relax in the evening. Overnight stay at the Sethan campsite
Day 5:- Sethan Village – Kharimindiyari (3120m) 4 hours
Continue trek to Kharimindiyari, the trail leads through numerous shepherds’ meadows and areas with natural spring water. Enjoy enchanting views of the Dhauladhar range and its towering peaks — Hanuman Tibba, Shikhar-bey, Maker-bey, and Friendship Peak. The campsite also offers a panoramic view of Chanderkhani Pass and the Malana Valley. Reach the Kharimindiyari campsite. In the evening, height-gaining trek. Overnight stay at Kharimindiyari campsite.
Day 6:- Kharimindiyari – Raurikhauri (3750m) 5 hours trek
Post breakfast Continue the trek in a zigzag pattern all the way to Raurikhauri. Enjoy the scenic beauty of a small mountain tarn nestled in the treeless landscape — a shepherd’s paradise, often filled with herds of grazing sheep, rich in flora and fauna. Enjoy panoramic views of two majestic mountain ranges — the Dhauladhar Range and the Pir Panjal Range, which converge at Rohtang Pass. Enjoy views of Hanuman Tibba, Tentu Pass, Makar-bey, the Beas Kund mountain massif, and the rugged landscape of Bara Bhangal..Overnight stay at Raurikhauri campsite.
Day 7 – Raurikhauri – Naag Saur Lake Exploration ( 4410m) and High Point (4500m) and back (7 hours)
Start after Early Breakfast, trekkers are rewarded with splendid views of distant, snow-capped mountains and shimmering alpine lakes. The refreshing mountain air and enchanting open views make it a memorable experience. Navigate an uphill climb through a slippery, snow-covered gully leading to a flat mountain top to see breath-taking and heart-touching view of the Kullu and Manali valleys. Continues through a rocky gully, eventually leading up to the Holy Lake. After some rest, head to the lake viewpoint and the high point of the ridge (4500m) for a 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding peaks. We can see a vast range of snow-covered peaks rising above 6200 meters Deo Tibba, Indrasan, Beas Kund Area Peaks, Hanuman Tibba. The return trail is rich in Himalayan flora and fauna, filled with joy, vast mountain snowy meadows, and cool mountain breezes.
Day 8 – Raurikhauri- Base Camp Shuru via Sethan (2675M). 6hrs.
After breakfast, begin descending, passing by the Kharimindiyari campsite down to the Sethan, a strenuous and steep descent. Drive back to Shuru Base Camp. End of the trek. Relax and Freshen UP, Rest. Overnight stay at Shuru Base Camp.
Day 9 – Camp Closure, Manali Market Visit
After breakfast Bag Packing, Camp Closure, Certificates and Feedback. Leave for Manali Market, free time to shop, explore the local market. In the evening, transfer to Bus to board return bus to Delhi
Day 10 – ARRIVAL AT DELHI and Board Flight to Pune / Mumbai
Arrive New Delhi. Get transferred to Delhi airport to board the respective flights.
