Itinerary

Day 1 –

Reach Guwahati by 08:00 AM. Our instructors will meet the campers at Guwahati Airport.

Welcome to Awesome Assam. Meet and be assisted by our representative at the airport/Railway Station. Get ready to Experience a memorable road trip for lifetime. Transfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the .Check in at your hotel/Lodge/resort. Room allocation, freshen up   Evening you may visit Orchid Park and the nearby Tea Plantations. Overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.

Day 2 –

Early morning head for an Elephant Safari. Apart from world’s endangered One Horned Indian Rhinoceros, the Park sustains half the world’s population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tiger anywhere. Kaziranga National Parkis also a bird watcher’s paradise and home to some 500 species of Birds. We will return to the resort for breakfast. Afternoon we proceed for a Jeep safari. Evening come back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga National Park.

Day 3 – 

After breakfast drive to Shillong, also called Scotland of the East. Reach the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani). You may do water sports here. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Evening you can visit the Police Bazaar which is the biggest local market. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 4 –

Get up early today to enjoy the mesmerizing mornings of Shillong. After an early breakfast drive to Cherrapunji, this is the wettest place in the world. Visit  Eco Park, Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Falls), Mawsmai Cave, Thangkharang Park. Evening return to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 5 –

Get up early today to enjoy the mesmerizing mornings of Shillong. After an early breakfast drive to Cherrapunji, this is the wettest place in the world. We proceed for a full day trekking to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat Village. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 6 –

After breakfast, visit Mawlynnong Village, the cleanest village in India. This cute and colorful little village is known for its cleanliness. Visit Dawki, It is along the Indo-Bangladesh border. You can enjoy boating in the crystal clear waters of the Umngot River. Evening we will return back to Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.

Day 7 –

After breakfast today proceed to Guwahati as time permits, visit the Kamakhya Temple and with everlasting memories transfer to airport/railway station for onward journey.

Things To Carry

  1. One haversack and one small shoulder bag (NO TROLLEY BAG OR SUITACSE)
  2. Comfortable clothes for the no. of days (track Pants, t-shirts, tops etc) (Avoid Jeans)
  3. Suitable nightwear , shorts, 3/4 s, one shawl/ chaddar, sweatshirt.
  4. Undergarments, towel, napkin/ handkerchief, ladies sanitary sets
  5. Swimwear, costume for water sports (check if required for your camp)
  6. Sport shoes ,socks, floaters, Sun cap/ hat, water bottle
  7. Water bottle, Personal kit containing toilet accessories, sun screen, cold cream, odomos,
  8. NO DEODORANT to be used while on Trails or Safaris
  9. Torch with fresh batteries
  10. Sun glasses, camera, binoculars, (optional at your own risk)
  11. A bird book, field guide (if available)
  12. Personal medicine, if any, with a note explaining doses, time, quantity etc.
    with the name of the child, No need to send any extra medicine
  13. Pen, a small diary, a story book
  14. Around 3000/- for meals during travel and for shopping
  15. An ID card with a color copy, (school I card/ Adhaar card/ Driving License etc)
