11 Day Trek
Overview
The Trek to Sour Tal Lake is a challenging and scenic summer trek in the Kullu valley. It’s one of the few unexplored treks in the region. You’ll pass through lush valleys, high-altitude meadows, and stunning landscapes. The Pir-Panjal range, including Indrasan, Inderkilla, and Deo-Tibba, will be your companions scenic, summer high-altitude trek. Starting from the Shuru Base Camp evergreen cool forests of cedar, Silver fir, walnut, oak, Silver birch and the occasional alder.
Day 1
Reach airport and take a flight to Delhi, From Delhi Airport transfer to Majnu Ka Tilla Bus Point to board AC Volvo and transfer to Manali
Day 2
Arrive at base camp Shuru for breakfast. Briefing and orientation. Tent allotment and distribution of haversack, ponchos. Discussion on ‘Leave no trace (LNT)’ way of camping. In the evening go for an acclimatization walk up to Arjun Gufa / Sharvari Devi Temple. and back to the campsite at Shuru. Rest Familiarization with the campus Issue of equipment. Tea with snacks Medic for check up if / First Aid Group discussion – Course Objectives and LNT (Leave No Traces) Dinner Lights out
Day 3
Morning Bell Tea. Breakfast. Today’s acclimatization walks up to the said height and back to Base Camp. Hot Lunch. Rest Muscularity activities & exercises at Thorku Dugh and Bhanara Hills. Tent pitching Lecture; practice Tea with snacks Dinner Campfire Debriefing of the day; Programme for the next day.Lights out
Day 4
Start the day with a warm cup of tea and a hearty breakfast at Base Camp. Then, depart early in the morning and hike to Camp-1, where you’ll be introduced to the campsite and enjoy a hot lunch. After lunch, engage in some bushcraft activities, such as multi-bine or commando net climbing, depending on your preference. Next, learn how to pitch a tent and participate in a lecture and practice session. Take a break with some tea and snacks, followed by dinner around the campfire. End the day with a debriefing of the day’s events and a review of the next day’s program, then retire to your tent for the night.
Day 5
We had Morning Bell Tea. Then, we went on a Breakfast Trek to the 2nd campsite, called Dudhu Dogh. We had a hot lunch there. After lunch, we rested and did some rappelling. Next, we introduced ourselves for rock climbing. We had tea with snacks, played games, and had dinner. We had a campfire program to plan for the next day. Finally, it was lights out.
Day 6
“Embark on a morning trek to Laangha Thach Camp, starting with a refreshing breakfast and a warm cup of tea or juice. After a hot lunch, take some time to rest and recharge before engaging in muscular exercises to prepare for the final challenge – a thrilling rock climbing experience. As the sun sets, enjoy a night out in the wilderness, where you’ll learn essential survival skills. End the day with a campfire dinner and a program outlining the plans for the next day, followed by a peaceful night’s rest.”
Day 7
Starting the day with a morning bell and a hearty breakfast, we embarked on a ‘Summit Day’ adventure, trekking to the ‘Sour Tal Frozen Lake’ and climbing up and down to the Mahili Thach camp. On the way down, we enjoyed some thrilling sledging and photography, and took a break for a warm cup of tea or juice and a lunch. Day 8
Embark on the Trek and descend steeply via Bran Phath to reach Shaleen village camp-5. Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing Tea/Juice break, followed by settling into tents. Savor a satisfying Lunch, and then engage in recreational activities and faculty games within and around the village. Take a break with a cup of tea and some snacks. In the evening, indulge in self-cooking and service. After dinner, gather around the campfire to plan for the next day’s activities. Finally, retire for the night with the lights out.
Day 9
From Trek, descend moderately to Parsha Village, then Bhanu Bridge and the village. Continue through apple orchards to Shuru Base Camp. Settle into your tent, have lunch, and rest. Later, return equipment and have a wash and change. Evaluate the trek and join dinner, with a DJ and lights.
Day 10
Morning Bell Tea Break fast Farewell Ceremony we will be stopping at Manali Market where all the participants have free time to shop for their friends and families lunch in the market and walk down to Volvo stand to catch a bus to Delhi
Day 11
Arrive New Delhi. Get transferred to Delhi airport to board the respective flights.
