Overview

This Futasor-Bijlimahadev trek is accessible to people of all ages, providing breathtaking vistas of the Kullu and Parvati valleys. The trek’s allure is amplified by the enchanting views of serene rivers, majestic mountains, lush forests, rolling meadows, and the untouched wilderness it traverses. The trail’s highlight is Bijlimahadev, a sacred site situated along the way, which adds to the trek’s appeal with its spiritual importance and breathtaking surroundings.

Day 1 :- PUNE/MUMBAI-DELHI-NAGGAR OVERNIGHT JOURNEY

Reach Airport at 01.00 PM to take a flight to Delhi. Reach Delhi by 4.30 PM and transfer to the AC volvo bus to reach Nagger. Overnight Journey

Day 2 :- BASE CAMP AT NAGGAR (1650M.) ACCLIMATIZATION WALK

Reach the Naggar base camp, situated near the charming village of Naggar. Following lunch, a program orientation will be held, followed by an acclimatization hike that will give you the opportunity to explore the Naggar Heritage Village, Naggar Castle, Roerich Art Gallery, and the ancient temples of Naggar. Spend the night at the base camp.

Day 3 :- NAGGAR – JANA – MATIKOCHAR (2,200 Mts) (3/4 hrs)

Embark on your adventure by driving to Jana, a 45-minute journey, where the trek begins. The trek commences along a scenic road from the quaint village of Jana, guiding you through a dense forest teeming with majestic pine, fir, cedar, and apple trees. As you make your way, you’ll be treated to awe-inspiring views of the Kullu valley and its snow-capped peaks. The summit at Matikochhar offers a panoramic view of the valley, particularly of Kullu town. On a clear night, the experience is akin to having two skies, one above with twinkling stars and the other below with shimmering lights. You’ll spend the night at a camp near a forest hut.

Day 4:- MATIKOCHHAR – FUTASOR (2,800 Mts) – MATIKOCHAR (2,200 Mts) 6/7 Hrs Trek to Futasor

The journey typically lasts around 3/4 of an hour. It commences with a challenging climb, but soon becomes a more leisurely walk through the Kais wildlife sanctuary. As you walk, you’ll be immersed in the midst of dense pine and oak forests, mesmerized by the vibrant rhododendron blooms, and treated to breathtaking meadows. After taking in the tranquil splendor of Futasor, return to the Matikochhar camp for an overnight stay.

Day 5:- MATIKOCHHAR – BIJLI MAHADEV (2,460 Mts) – NAGGAR (1,650 Mts)

 

Reach Bijli Mahadev after a 4.5-hour trek and 1-hour drive. The journey takes you through a dense forest with stunning views of Kullu and Parvati valleys. The temple’s name comes from lightning striking the Shiva linga, which the priest reassembles with special butter. Inside, see charred marks on the walls from past strikes. The temple’s hilltop location offers a 360-degree view of the valleys. After exploring, descend to Chansari village and take a 1-hour ride back to Naggar base camp.

 

Day 6:- VISIT TO MANALI MARKET & HIDIMBA TEMPLE AND ATAL TUNNEL (1000 FT PLUS)

We’ll go to Manali Market. Everyone can browse and buy gifts for their loved ones. After that, we’ll gather around the campfire. We’ll have a DJ night, our last night at the campsite.

Day 7:- RAFTING AT BEAS RIVER & DEPARTURE

We’re planning an exciting journey, beginning with an early morning departure after breakfast. We’ll travel 14km to the Rafting point in Perdi, where we’ll navigate the Beas river by raft before heading back to base camp for a late lunch. After lunch, we’ll board an air-conditioned Volvo bus in Manali, which will transport us to Delhi, arriving around 10:00 AM.

Day 8:- TOUCHDOWN IN DELHI

Arrive New Delhi. Get transferred to Delhi airport to board the respective flights.

Things to Carry list.

  1. One haversack (50 to 70 ltr) and one small shoulder bag (NO TROLLEY BAG OR SUITCASE)
  2. Comfortable clothes for the no. of days (track Pants, t-shirts, tops etc) (Avoid Jeans)
  3. Climate would be very cold at Manalii. Carry enough woolen clothes like jacket, monkey camp, hand gloves etc
  4. Suitable nightwear, one shawl sweatshirt.
  5. Undergarments, towel, napkin/ handkerchief, ladies sanitary sets
  6. High ankle trekking shoes, socks, floaters, Sun cap/ hat, water bottle, Fevikwik
  7. Water bottle, Personal kit containing toilet accessories, sun screen, cold cream, odomos. sanitizer
  8. Torch with fresh batteries
  9. Sun glasses
  10. Trekking Pole (Optional), camera, binoculars, Mobile phone (At your own risk)
  11. Personal medicine, if any, with a note explaining doses, time, quantity etc. with the name of the child, No need to send any extra medicine
