Turtles, Vultures, Dolphins, and a lot more are waiting for you on the seashores of Velas.

Itinerary

Day 1 –

Mumbai Campers to Report at Dadar by 04:00 AM. Board private AC bus for Campsite. Pune Campers report at the Bavdhan Pickup Point by 06:00 AM. Mumbai Campers pickup Pune Campers by 07:00 AM. Departure by AC bus for Velas. Enroute breakfast. Reach Velas by 12:00 PM. Room allocation and briefing. Later have your homely lunch. Rest for a while. Have your evening snacks and visit the Turtle nests and experience the wonder of a tiny little baby turtle entering the world and walking towards the ocean to start its life. Returning back, spent some time playing games. Dinner. Lights off.

Day 2 –

Early morning wake up and breakfast. Leave for Anjarle. Try your luck on spotting some Dolphins on a boat ride. Have your lunch there. Visit Suvarnadurg. Return to the campsite and have your evening snacks. Lecture on Turtle nesting by the expert. Dinner and Lights off.

Day 3 – 

Early morning wake up and head to a birding trail, come back and have your breakfast. Leave for Shrivardhan. Head for your Mangrove safari in Kalanji. Have your lunch there. Return to the campsite. Head towards the beach. Evening snacks and play some team games. Dinner and lights off.

Day 4 –

After an early breakfast depart from the Campsite and reach Pune by 03:00 PM and Mumbai by 07:00 PM.

Things To Carry

  1. One haversack and one small shoulder bag (NO TROLLEY BAG OR SUITACSE)
  2. Comfortable clothes for the no. of days (track Pants, t-shirts, tops etc) (Avoid Jeans)
  3. Suitable nightwear , shorts, 3/4 s, one shawl/ chaddar, sweatshirt.
  4. Undergarments, towel, napkin/ handkerchief, ladies sanitary sets
  5. Swimwear, costume for water sports (check if required for your camp)
  6. Sport shoes ,socks, floaters, Sun cap/ hat, water bottle
  7. Water bottle, Personal kit containing toilet accessories, sun screen, cold cream, odomos,
  8. NO DEODORANT to be used while on Trails or Safaris
  9. Torch with fresh batteries
  10. Sun glasses, camera, binoculars, (optional at your own risk)
  11. A bird book, field guide (if available)
  12. Personal medicine, if any, with a note explaining doses, time, quantity etc.
    with the name of the child, No need to send any extra medicine
  13. Pen, a small diary, a story book
  14. Around 3000/- for meals during travel and for shopping
  15. An ID card with a color copy, (school I card/ Adhaar card/ Driving License etc)

  • Personal expenses such as telephones, drinks, mineral water, laundry, porter charges etc
  • Medical, hospitalization, evacuation and related expenses
  • Any item not covered under the head ‘cost includes’.
